2015 Cabernet / Merlot / Syrah, Yamantiev, Marble Land, Thracian Lowlands, Bulgaria,75cl

Yamantiev's Winery

Thracian Valley, Bulgaria, Dry, Red, Ready but can keep, Cabernet blend, 14% abv, 75cl

Deep in the Southern Rhodope mountains, Yamantiev's vineyards are bathing in golden sunshine, while soft breezes from the Aegean sea are cooling them off in the late afternoon. The vines are planted on a thin layer of soil above the white marble rock that has punctured the vineyards here. This is their flagship, a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah. Bordeaux meets Northern Rhone at a fraction of the price in this spectacular wow wine! Elevated in new French oak barrels for a full 12 months it also spends another long year in the bottle before deemed ready to be released. Full and sumptuous with layers of black forest fruits, prunes and bitter chocolate, polished with white pepper spice. Please, open 1 hour in advance. Great with slow roasted game, feathered or hooved, and strong cheeses. Can keep for up to 5 years!
