2011/12 Rubin Nobile, Logodaj, Struma Valley, Bulgaria, Red, 75cl

Logodaj Winery

An indigenous Bulgarian grape variety made by crossing the Italian Nebbiolo with Syrah created in the seventies by the adventurous socialist Vine and Wine Institute in Pleven, Bulgaria. A well respondent to oak maturation the wine adds chocolate nuances to the spicy cherry and berry fruit overfilling the palate. It is matured in new French oak barrels that add subtle smoke, bacon and vanilla. Tons of juicy fruit on the palate and a delicious long and chewy finish. Great with sausages, meat balls, slow roasted game and hearty stews.
