2015 Ivaylovgrad Reserve, Cabernet/Merlot, Yamantievs, Thracian Lowlands, Bulgaria, 75cl

Yamantiev's Winery

2015 Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot Reserve, Dry, Drink now, Thracian Valley, Bulgaria, 14% abv.

A gold medal from the International Wine Challenge in Vienna for vintage 2015 after the stunning 2010 vintage. This is becoming a signature wine from Yamantievs of Ivaylovgrad. Grapes are double sorted and wine has matured in French oak barrels of which 50% new. Complex, multi-layered wine with black forest fruits, cedar notes and truffles on the palate. Full bodied and well structured it is great with furred game!

To compensate the heavy weight glass used for this wine Yamantievs initiated sustainable practices in all their vineyards, which are now in conversion.
