2011 Rubin Nobile, Logodaj, Struma Valley, Bulgaria, Red, 75cl

Logodaj Winery

2015 Rubin, Logodaj, Struma Valley, Bulgaria, Red, Ready , Drink now , 75cl, 14% abv

Made from the indigenous Bulgarian grape variety Rubin. Rubin was the creation of the adventurous Viticulture Research Station near Pleven which crossed the Italian Nebbiolo with Syrah in 1946. The new grape variety reached notoriety in the nineties and was planted extensively around the country. It responds well to oak maturation which adds chocolate nuances to the spicy cherry and berry fruit overfilling the palate. Lots of juicy fruit on the palate and a harmonious round finish. Great with sausages, meat balls, slow roasted game and hearty stews.
